It was a nice relaxing day for us. Woke up almost 12 pm ! Nothing was planned. I was disappointed that we did not manage to get away during this long weekend. I’ve tried Tioman, Redang, Langakawi and even Bintan, but EVERYWHERE is booked out !! so lesson learned – to book way in advance if you’re planning to go somewhere ESPECIALLY during the public holidays period. So adamant that we go somewhere soon, I’ve booked for our next holiday, which is in August during the national day weekend. Haha ! The Datai ! :) anyone want to join us ?

Ok anyway, we met up with The Pans at PS cafe for tea.

The girls. I wonder if this place will still be around when they’re all grown up ?

Later we brought them all to the HUGE playground paradise at West Coast Park. Despite it has rained in the afternoon, there were still lots of kids there. And the kids have fun :)

Tired. Glad darling is back from India. He was away for the whole week and this time round he bought me a shawl, a dark shade of purple and gold :) Was trying to book a short trip for the next weekend in Tioman, but the most of the resorts are fully booked sigh.. am trying my luck to see if we can get a flight to Redang. I LOVE crystal clear water by the beach, can’t get enough of it. Maldives is the best by far of all the beach resorts we’ve been to.  why can’t singapore have nice clear blue waters ? I will live here for life and not get tired of it. Was also trying to look for a place to hold kiersten’s coming 1 year old party, but it’s so expensive just to rent a place for its facilities ! I’ve checked out a few places and all cost more than 300 dollars and above ! why places in singapore have to be so expensive for simple fun ? good thing we’re able to use oly’s place :) so that’s settled. we watched pirates of the caribbean tonight.. i love the individual characters in the movie but i got a bit lost in the story, too much going on, gets abit confusing. Will Turner is very handsome ;) though.

mmm… time to sleep Zzzzzzzzzzz

Here are the pics !! I took so many pics that I have a hard time sorting them. The trip was organised by my office dept for its annual team building meeting and I was really excited to check out one of wonders in the world !! We had the meeting for the first two days in the Le Meriden hotel. And on the last day of the meeting, we had a tour guide to bring us to the famous 2 temples – Bayon and Angkor Wat. Standing before these HUGE historical wonders and arhitecture bring a sense of awe and I wonder what had happened in the past behind those massive walls of ruins. The tour guide did explain a fair bit on the history but I was so captivated what’s around me and too busy snapping away with my camera, that I missed out on his sharing.

On our way to Angkor wat, the tour guide brought us to the place where the movie Tomb Raider was filmed.

It’s amazing how these trees can grow above the ground !

According to the tour guide, the roots will turn silver grey in color at different times of the day.

Big 30…

…eeee…sounds old! but i don’t really feel that yet… :) to me it’s a beautiful milestone in life. And looking back, I feel bless and thank God all that He has given and the different stages He has seen me through!

This morning, after breakfast at Ya Kun at Tiong Bahru with Desmond, I went for a complimentary massage at one of the Spas located at Cuppage. The massage was really good and it helps to release all the knots and tension in my shoulders, neck and back. After the massage, we had a light lunch at Toast. I had a masala chicken wrap with camomile tea.

My next stop was at the nail place at Purvis street, it felt good just to pamper myself like that. Desmond went to the Library while I was having my nails painted. This was followed by catching the latest movie in town at Bugis- Spiderman 3 ! I enjoyed it and so did Desmond.

The day ended with seafood dinner near Tiong bahru – I had a whole chilli crab all by myself, yummy ! So nothing really special but it was great just doing the things I enjoy and spending time with the one I love :)

My bday present ? Looking foward to the 3 hours spa treatment that Desmond will be getting me at the Spa Botanica (Sentosa) !!
